Here are some descriptions of job functions in the Elections Division.

Ballot Pick Up Driver
You work in a two person team to pick up ballots at county drop sites and deliver to the Elections office. Ballot pick-ups may be required during the two weeks before Election Day.
Requirements:
- Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
- Drivers must have their own vehicle.
- Must have a valid Oregon Driver's license.
- Must be able to pass a DMV background check.
- Workers will not be partnered with family members or spouses.
Election Board
Election board members work as part of a three member team opening and inspecting ballots. Board members will inspect, open and prepare ballots to be counted. The work is not physically demanding, but is fast paced, repetitive and requires attention to detail. Board members may work for 4 or 5 days, up to 8 hours each day. On Election Day, you may work up to 14 hours.

- Sitting for long hours
- Repetitive hand motion
- Paying attention to details
- Team player
- Workers will not be partnered with family members or spouses.
Drop Site Worker
You work in a two person team to collect ballots from a drop site at 8 PM Election Day. Work approximately two hours on Election night.
Assignment includes:
- Close and lock up the drop site.
- Deliver ballots and signs to the Elections office
Requirements:
- Drivers must have their own vehicle.
- Must have a valid Oregon Driver’s license.
- Must be able to pass a DMV background check.
- Must be able to lift 30 lbs.
- Workers will not be partnered with family members or spouses.
Voter Assistance Team
You work in two-person, bipartisan teams to travel to locations such as assisted living homes and other care facilities to assist residents with voting a ballot, reading a Voters’ Pamphlet, registering to vote, and other tasks.
Requirements:
- Must be able to lift 20 lbs.
- Drivers must have their own vehicle.
- Must have a valid Oregon Driver's license.
- Must be able to pass a DMV background check.
- Workers will not be partnered with family members or spouses.
