Washington County Appraisers to Visit Neighborhoods this Fall for Routine Property Appraisals

To help address questions that may arise when staff are present in neighborhoods, the County is providing advance notice of upcoming reappraisal activities.
Media release

This fall, Washington County will conduct routine reappraisals on residential properties throughout the area. These visits are done to maintain accurate property records and ensure property values reflect the current real estate market.

Washington County is committed to ensuring that these routine reappraisals are conducted transparently. To address potential questions, the County is providing guidance on how residents can identify County appraisers.

During these Fall visits, appraisers may walk through neighborhoods and occasionally knock on doors to ask a few questions. To help residents easily identify County staff, appraisers will wear bright yellow vests with the County logo, carry a county-issued photo ID, and drive vehicles marked with the County logo.

Residents with questions are encouraged to contact the Washington County Department of Assessment and Taxation at 503-846-8826 or [email protected]. Additional information is also available at WashingtonCountyOR.gov/at/appraisal.
