The events calendar is intended for EMC members, as well as other state, local, and tribal homeland security or emergency services programs. It serves as a key tool for communicating about events offered in Washington County. To have an event added to the list, email [email protected].

National Night Out (Various Locations)

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. Come see us at one of the following locations!


Meetings

EMC Executive Committee Meeting

Bi-monthly meeting of EMC Executive Committee members, facilitated by the EMC director. Held the third Friday on even-numbered months.

  • Audience: Executive committee representatives of the 11 EMC member organizations. Representatives include the sheriff, county administrator, and the other chief executive officers of member organizations or their delegates.

EMC Emergency Managers Meeting

Bi-monthly meeting of the emergency managers for the EMC member organizations facilitated by the EMC director. Held the fourth Thursday on even-numbered months, from February to October. The EMC director holds one-on-one meetings with EMC emergency managers from November to January each year.

Local Emergency Managers Meeting

Bi-monthly meeting of emergency managers from all organizations within or supporting the geographic area of Washington County, including cities, County departments, school districts, special districts, businesses, and community-based organizations. Facilitated by the EMC director.

  • Audience: Emergency managers and related staff from all sectors that work in or support the geographic area of Washington County.

Local Emergency Planning Committee

The LEPC is a multi-sector forum for hazardous materials incident preparedness and response, authorized by the federal Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA) and OAR 837-095-0050.

  • Audience: LEPC members and others with an interest in hazardous materials incident planning and preparedness.
