With only one week left until the 2025 Special District Election, Washington County election officials are reminding over 400,000 registered voters that their ballots must be returned by 8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, to be processed in a timely manner. Ballots can either be:
- dropped off at an Official Ballot Drop Box,
- mailed via the United States Postal Service (USPS), or
- returned in-person at the Elections Office located at 2925 NE Aloclek Dr, Hillsboro, OR 97124.
Ballots mailed in on Election Day will be accepted as long as they are postmarked by May 20, 2025, and received by Washington County Elections by May 27, 2025. Ballots received after May 27 will not be accepted, regardless of the postmarked date. A stamp is not required to mail your ballot via the United States Postal Service.
Washington County’s Elections Office will be open Tuesday, May 20, 2025, from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m. to assist voters. The Elections Office is committed to making voting more accessible and strives to provide Oregonians with the freedom to vote as privately and independently as possible. If you would like assistance with your ballot, contact the Elections Office as soon as possible to make an appointment at 503-846-5800 or by emailing [email protected]. The last few days before an election are typically busy and wait times may be longer than usual. Translation services are also available in a variety of languages.
