Learn about the Washington County Transportation Safety Action Plan and share your thoughts via an online open house through June 15.

Washington County Land Use & Transportation is updating the County's Transportation Safety Action Plan (TSAP) with other departments and agencies and in coordination with Metro and other regional partners through a federal Safe Streets for All (SS4A) grant.

TSAP is a strategic plan that will help guide Washington County's investment in improving safety on County roads, streets and trails.

The TSAP will include:

  • A review of the County's current transportation safety policies and processes
  • Goals and targets related to reducing and/or eliminating fatal and severe crashes
  • Safety policies, strategies and actions that will help make the County's transportation system safer for everyone, especially our most vulnerable road users
  • Methods for tracking progress towards safety.
