121st Avenue (Tippitt Place/Whistlers Loop)

The project will improve safety and traffic flow on 121st Avenue with: continuous sidewalks, bicycle lanes, street lights and drainage.

About this project

Traffic on SW 121st Avenue, between Tippitt Place and Whistlers Loop in the city of Tigard, is increasing, causing congestion on the two-lane road. The surrounding areas are residential neighborhoods. This portion of 121st Avenue also has poor street lighting and drainage, sidewalk gaps and no bike lanes.

The project will improve safety and traffic flow on 121st Avenue with:

  • Continuous sidewalks
  • Bicycle lanes
  • Street lights
  • Drainage

We are partnering with Tigard on the installation of its 24-inch water main as part of this project. This partnerships is lowering the water project cost and is minimizing road construction impacts.

Construction start (expected): Summer 2022
Construction finish (expected): Fall 2023

Commissioner District: 2
