Kaiser Road and 147th Avenue (FY 2022-24 Pedestrian & Biking Improvement)

The intersection of Kaiser Road and 147th Avenue doesn’t have a pedestrian crossing.

We will add a crosswalk, signs, road striping and curb ramps.

A Rectangular Rapid-Flashing Beacon (RRFB) will be installed to alert drivers when someone is in the crosswalk. RRFBs are crossing signals with blinking lights that turn on when a pedestrian presses a button.

This project is part of a larger effort to connect sidewalks and walkways in the Bethany Area.

To ensure cost-efficient construction, this project is being designed and constructed alongside:

Construction start (expected): Winter 2024
Construction finish (expected): Summer 2025

Update

4/18/2024:  Design is 30 percent complete. We will now be designing and constructing this project alongside crosswalks on the Waterhouse Trail to ensure cost-efficient construction. Construction is now expected to begin fall 2024.
