Talk with the Thompson Road Project design team and discuss improvements planned between Marcotte and Saltzman roads at an open house from 5-7 p.m. Monday, April 14, at Cedar Mill Library, 1080 NW Saltzman Road.
Thompson Road, between Marcotte and Saltzman roads, will be improved with sidewalks and bike lanes. Other improvements include:
- Adding a center turn lane where needed
- Installing streetlights
- Installing storm drains
- Building water-quality facilities
Project design will continue through summer 2026.
Construction is expected to begin in fall 2026 and continue through December 2027.
The Thompson Road Project is funded through the MSTIP Bonding Cost-sharing Program and the Bonny Slope West Transportation System Development Charge.
