FAQs

The east side was chosen as it would provide a complete sidewalk to Farmington Road from the neighborhood with the new sidewalk connecting to existing segments of sidewalk.

The 149th Avenue project includes the addition of "no parking" signs along the east side of the road. As a result of community requests, we consulted with our traffic engineers and determined that we are not able to apply similar signage to the west side of 149th Avenue.

The County works with the school district in advance of the project going to construction bid. Then before construction starts, the County provides a notification of dates and times of work and any detours or traffic limitations to the school district.

The construction contractor will work with the Postmaster to determine mailbox location during construction. Mailboxes will be relocated/reconstructed per instruction by the Postmaster.
