Project Update: Postcard Delivery Timing
Some community members recently received a postcard for the August 6 open house related to the 175th Avenue and Kinnaman Road sidewalk projects. The postcards were mailed well in advance, and due to delays at the Aloha US Postal Service location they arrived later than expected.
We apologize for any confusion this may have caused. Even though the event has passed, we still welcome your questions, comments and feedback about either project. Please contact us at [email protected] or 503‑846‑7800. We value your input and appreciate staying connected with the community.
We will build continuous sidewalk on the west side of 175th Ave between Kinnaman Road and Vincent Street, and then on the east side from Vincent Street to Blanton Street. We will also install a pedestrian crossing with safety improvements at the intersection with Chris Street.
This project will improve pedestrian connections to International School of Beaverton, Aloha Huber Park Elementary, Mountain View Middle School, Aloha High School, and commercial centers.
Construction start (expected): Spring 2027
Construction finish (expected): Spring 2027
Update
8/9/2026: The project is approximately 60% through the design phase. We are continuing to engage with the community, collect comments, and incorporate feedback as the design progresses. Community input remains an important part of this process, and we encourage residents to reach out with questions or thoughts as we move toward final design.
