Meet the Glencoe Road and West Union Road Intersection Improvement project team and learn about project design at an open house from 5-7 p.m. Nov. 18., at Jessie Mays Community Hall, 30975 NW Hillcrest St.
Washington County plans to build a traffic signal at the intersection starting in spring 2027 to accommodate growth in the North Plains area. A roundabout was also evaluated but not possible due to proximity of a rail crossing to the intersection.
The improvement will also include:
- Bicycle and pedestrian facilities
- Curb ramps
- Street lighting
- Improved stormwater drainage
