We will improve Walker Road, between Park Way and 123rd Avenue, to improve safety and capacity.
This section of Walker Road goes through a large commercial area, as well as past an elementary school and several churches.
Improvements include:
- Installing sidewalks and ADA-compliant curb ramps on both sides of Walker Road
- Adding bike facilities on both sides of Walker Road
- Installing streetlighting
- Adding dedicated turn lanes from Walker Road onto Cedar Hills Boulevard
- Maintaining a center turn lane from Park Way to Westfield Avenue
- Upgrading storm drains
No additional travel lanes or changes to Cedar Hills Boulevard are planned at this time.
