On Friday, April 28, 2023 Hornsby was taken into custody.

Deputies Ask for the Community’s Help in Locating Attempted Murder Suspect

On Friday, April 21, 2023, at 6:15 p.m., Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the 12700 block of NW Dogwood Street. Multiple community members called to report seeing a road rage incident and hearing gunshots.

Deputies arrived and contacted the victim, who had been shot once in her chest. Deputies began providing medical aid to the victim until paramedics from Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue and Metro West Ambulance Service could take over.

The victim was transported to a local hospital, where she was treated for her injuries and later released.

Detectives from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office Violent Crimes Unit responded to the scene to assist with the investigation.

Detectives learned that the suspect, 43-year-old Glen Alen Hornsby Jr. of Hillsboro, attempted to rob the victim and shot her once. The victim got away and fled in her vehicle, but Hornsby gave chase and shot at her vehicle. Hornsby left the area before deputies could locate him.

By 8:30 p.m., deputies located Hornsby’s vehicle in Hillsboro parked near a motorhome that he is associated with. Deputies did not locate Hornsby at the motorhome.

Deputies are considering Hornsby armed and dangerous. We are asking community members not to approach him and to call 911.

If you have additional information regarding Hornsby or this incident, please call Washington County Sheriff’s Office at 503-846-2700.
