As complaints about e-bikes and e-scooters rise, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office has launched a new way for community members to report potentially illegal use of motorized scooters or e‑bikes.
To improve livability and raise awareness about the safety risks associated with these devices, community members are encouraged to submit concerns through the online Traffic Complaint Form. This form allows the community to alert the Sheriff’s Office of problem areas while reducing the number of calls dispatch receives, helping keep those lines open for urgent emergency needs. Once submitted, the information goes directly to the Traffic Sergeant, who can determine appropriate enforcement actions.
This reporting tool also supports the Sheriff’s Office’s ongoing efforts to educate the public about the rules and risks surrounding electric mobility devices, helping deputies focus their outreach where it’s needed most.
