Washington County Public Health has released its first infectious disease report. The report provides the most current data on disease trends, case counts and in-depth articles on communicable diseases, sexually transmitted infections, HIV, tuberculosis and various outbreaks in the county.

Washington County has issued a “red day alert” today due to poor air quality. Air stagnation events, like we are experiencing now, can trap wood smoke pollution near the ground, where people breathe the smoke particles deep into their lungs.

Washington County Public Health is relocating their Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program in Tigard. The new office will be located at 11515 SW Durham Road, Suite E8. The office is easily accessed by TriMet bus routes 93 and 94 on SW Pacific Highway (99W).

Washington County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) is holding a public hearing to receive comment on proposed revisions to the current Administrative Rules that address EMS within the county. The meeting will take place on May 2, 2019, 8:30-9:30 a.m., at 20665 SW Blanton Street, Aloha.

School Exclusion Day is Wednesday, February 20, 2019. Any child without the required immunizations or an exemption certificate will not be allowed to attend school or child care on or after February 20 until they provide documentation of immunizations or exemption.
