Washington County Sheriff’s Office Violent Crimes Detectives arrested 38-year-old Ryan Claussen on charges stemming from allegations of sexual assault.
On September 8, 2023, a grand jury indicted Claussen for the following crimes, and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
- Sex abuse in the first degree
- Attempted rape in the first degree
- Attempted sodomy in the first degree
On October 22, 2023, Claussen was apprehended by detectives in Yamhill County with the assistance of the Yamhill County Sheriff's Office.
During the investigation, detectives discovered evidence suggesting there may be additional victims of sexual assault by Claussen. They are asking anyone with additional information to call the Sheriff's Office at 503-846-2700.
