Washington County's departments and their organizations
This office is directed by an elected County Auditor and conducts performance audits and special studies that provide accountability to the public and improve Washington County programs, services and operations.
Washington County is structured as a Council-Manager form of government, giving the five-member, elected Board of County Commissioners legislative responsibility and designating administrative authority to a Board-appointed professional county administrator.

This court is directed by an elected Justice of the Peace and has jurisdiction over most violations of the State Motor Vehicle Code and over certain misdemeanor offenses. The court also has jurisdiction over civil and small claims for money and damages not exceeding $10,000.
