WCSO is committed to continuous improvement, accountability, and compliance with national law enforcement standards and has pursued recognition through the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA) since 2004.
CALEA standards require accredited agencies to connect community members to a public portal inviting comments on the quality of law enforcement services. These comments can be in the form of commendations or concerns and provide WCSO with information to support continuous improvement, as well as foster the pursuit of professional excellence.
