On January 25, 2024, investigators with the Westside Interagency Narcotics Team (WIN) assisted Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) in the seizure of eight 55-gallon barrels of liquid Heroin in the back of a U-Haul truck.  The 370 gallons of liquid Heroin is one of the largest known seizures in the United States.

Investigators worked closely with HSI and the United States Attorney’s Office to coordinate the bust.   The Washington County Sheriff’s Office Tactical Negotiations Team (TNT) and the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) also provided assistance during the operation.

The Washington County Sheriff's Office values the strong relationships with our federal partners and thanks them for their continued support.

The WIN team is a task force in the Oregon-Idaho High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA), and includes members from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, Beaverton Police Department, Hillsboro Police Department, FBI, HSI, Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), and the Oregon National Guard Counter Drug Task Force.
