Washington County Animal Services urges pet owners to take proactive measures to keep their animals safe during the upcoming holiday.

Washington County unveiled its new Beaverton Recovery Center (BRC) with a ceremonial ribbon cutting followed by a facility tour. The BRC is one of two locations for the County’s new Center for Addictions Triage and Treatment (CATT).

Washington County’s Deflection Program is a collaboration among Health and Human Services, the District Attorney’s Office, the Sheriff’s Office, Community Corrections, Behavioral Health Resource Network providers, and peer-delivered services.

This facility houses a variety of community services to support people with substance use disorders and other behavioral health conditions. It is one of two locations for the County’s Center for Addictions Triage and Treatment (CATT).

Washington County Public Health (WCPH) shared appreciation for key people, partners and staff during National Public Health Week 2025, celebrating them and their contributions to promoting healthy lives and supporting communities’ well-being.

The launch of the Nurse Navigation program takes steps toward enhancing Washington County’s 9-1-1 emergency response capabilities.

The first successful deflection marks a significant milestone in our efforts to support individuals on their path to treatment and recovery.

Community feedback is being accepted through February 13, 2025.

As WIC celebrates turning 50 this year, Washington County Public Health (WCPH) WIC joins the occasion, shining a light on local efforts that bring healthy foods, nutrition education and health care referrals to lower income families across the region.

The event takes place on November 15. Resources include housing, employment, health care including COVID-19 and flu shots, education, haircuts, clothing, pet food, legal assistance, advocates for state and federal benefits, and more.
