Food Service Licensing

The Environmental Health Program licenses facilities such as restaurants, temporary food booths, mobile food units, commissaries, warehouses and vending machines.

Food service businesses in Washington County must be licensed by Environmental Health. This includes facilities such as restaurantstemporary food boothsmobile food unitscommissarieswarehouses, and vending machines.

Annual licenses expire on December 31 of every calendar year and cannot be transferred from one person to another. 

Online Services: Sign up or log in to pay your license fee online, fill out license and plan review applications, or file a complaint against a licensed facility.

Restaurant Inspection Scores are public record. A restaurant must receive a score of 70 to pass the inspection. Consumers can find a sign at the restaurant entrance that indicates if a restaurant passed the most recent inspection.
