Human Rights Day and Week 2012

Launched in October 2006, the Human Rights Council of Washington County works to promote respect and dignity of all by supporting a community where every person is valued, and equity and diversity are embraced through action, advocacy, education and collaboration.   

The Council is asking jurisdictions across Washington County to proclaim December 10 – 14, 2012, as Human Rights Week and December 10, 2012, as Human Rights Day to mark the U.N.'s approval of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights on December 10, 1948.
