Washington County is pleased to announce the release of the Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for broadband expansion, a pivotal step toward bridging the digital divide in unserved and underserved areas, as outlined in the March 2023 countywide broadband study.

Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) Highlights:

  • Purpose: Provides matching funds to strengthen Internet Service Providers (ISP) applications for Oregon Broadband Infrastructure Development (BEAD) Program.
  • Eligibility: Prequalified BEAD Program ISPs.
  • Funding: Based on a per-location formula, contingent on securing BEAD funding.
  • Evaluation: School District Location (30%), percentage connected (30%), design (30%), anchor institution support (10%).
