Due to icy travel conditions, most Washington County buildings will be closed all day.
News article

Most of Washington County’s buildings will remain closed on Friday, February 24, due to dangerous, icy conditions on roadways throughout the region.

Temperatures have remained below freezing throughout the evening, creating slick travel conditions across the Portland metro area. These low temperatures are not expected to rise above freezing until late in the day, making travel risky to and from Washington County’s approximately 35 buildings located across its 726-square-mile service area.

In keeping with the Washington County Hazardous Conditions Policy, employees should coordinate with their supervisors about reassignment of work tasks and remote work as appropriate. Emergency response and 24-hour services will continue. More information and guidance about Facilities Closures can be found in section 4.2 of the Hazardous Conditions Policy and options for remote work can be found in the Hazardous Conditions Procedure.

Employees and the public are asked to monitor the Washington County website or social media feeds to learn more about potential changes to hours of operation. Updates about road conditions can be found at Information about severe weather shelter can be found at
