Submit your original artwork through February 14, 2015.

Washington County, Oregon: The Washington County Cooperative Library Services (WCCLS) is pleased to announce the 2015 Teen Summer Reading Art Contest. This year's Teen Summer Reading theme will be: Unmask!

The winning design will be used for all countywide 2015 WCCLS Teen Summer Reading program materials, such as posters, bookmarks, forms, flyers, etc. The artwork must represent the Teen Summer Reading theme "Unmask!" and must be the original work of the entrant. Prizes will be awarded for First Place, Second Place and Honorable Mention.
  • First Prize: Powell's Books gift card valued at $150
  • Second Prize: $50 gift certificate for Blick Art Materials retail store
  • Honorable Mention: $25 gift certificate for Blick Art Materials retail store
The contest is open to all Washington County library card holders, ages 12 –18 at the time of submission. Submit your original artwork at your local WCCLS member library through February 14, 2015.

The Summer Reading Program inspires kids with a sense of wonder and helps to promote good learning habits. Summer Reading in Washington County will officially begin on June 1st. At that time teens will be invited to sign up at their local public library to earn prizes for reading, including tickets to Portland Thorn and Trail Blazers games, a round of miniature golf at Bullwinkle's Family Fun Center, a coupon for one free open swim session at a Tualatin Hills Park and Recreation pool and a deep discount ride bracelet for a day full of activities at Oaks Amusement Park.
