Meet the contractors for upcoming construction projects

The public is invited to learn more about construction beginning this summer on Springville Road and 198th Avenue at two open houses.

Meet the contractors at two April open houses to learn more about construction projects on Springville Road and 198th Avenue.

The Springville Road (Phase 2) and the Springville Road sidewalk projects open house is 5-7 p.m. April 2 at Portland Community College (PCC) Rock Creek Campus, Building 9 Event Center, Section C, 17705 NW Springville Road.

The Springville Road project includes widening the road between 181st Avenue and Concordia Court. The PCC entrance will be realigned to meet 178th Avenue and traffic signals will be installed.

The Springville Road sidewalk project will connect existing sidewalks on the north side of the road between PCC and Samuel Drive.

The 198th Avenue project open house is 5-7 p.m. April 4 at Edwards Center Inc., 4375 SW Edwards Place.

The 198th Avenue project includes widening the road between TV Highway (OR 8) and Farmington Road (OR 10) to three lanes (one lane in each direction with a center turn lane) bike lanes and sidewalks.

Staff and contractors will be available at both open houses to answer questions. No formal presentations are planned; stop by any time.
