Land Use & Transportation

We build and maintain a great transportation system and plan and protect uses of the land. Land Use & Transportation employees work in coordination with our agency and government partners to provide transportation, planning, permitting and road maintenance services.

Services

Most of our services are available remotely - online, by phone or via U.S. Mail - 24 hours/day, seven days a week.

In-person Services: Appointments recommended at the Public Services Building; appointments required at the Walnut Street Center. See Office Locations and Business Hours.

Culvert Replacement on Walker Road to Improve Safety, Water Flow, and Wildlife Passage

The NW Walker Road closure between NW 174th Terrace and NW Cambray Street begins August 3.

Safety and Freight Improvements: Cornelius Pass Road Bridge Replacement at Rock Creek

Washington County and ODOT are replacing the Cornelius Pass Road Bridge at Rock Creek. The bridge is narrow for today’s traffic, requiring a full closure July 15 - Sept 29, 2026. Detours are in place for all travelers.
