Washington County's statement on release of zip code data

Nearly half of the people (49%) who have tested positive for COVID-19 in Washington County identify as Hispanic. The county’s overall Hispanic population is 16.5%.

Washington County is partnering with the City of Hillsboro and Comfort Inn & Suites in Hillsboro to open a non-congregate respite shelter. The 114-room hotel will temporarily house individuals experiencing homelessness as well as group home residents who have either tested positive for COVID-19 or are symptomatic and need to be isolated from others.

Two of the 24 COVID-19 cases announced in Washington County in the last two days are residents at a long-term care facility, Washington County Public Health officials announced today [March 22].
