Governor Kate Brown and the Oregon Health Authority have approved Washington County’s application for Phase I reopening, effective Monday, June 1.

Washington County has applied to the state for reopening, with a goal of entering Phase I on Monday, June 1.

Today the Washington County Board of Commissioners approved a reopening plan written by county staff with input from local emergency managers. The board also approved contracting with two outside agencies for recruitment of contact tracers and support staff.

Although we have no date yet for reopening, we have been working on a reopening plan that will be reviewed by our County Board of Commissioners on Tuesday.
