Visitors to Scoggins Valley Park at Henry Hagg Lake are urged to use personal floatation devices at all times, regardless of swimming ability. Parents and other responsible adults must monitor their children’s activities at all times and ensure they wear properly fitted personal floatation devices when on, in or near the water.

Washington County Public Services Building Seismic Retrofit Project
Washington County will soon begin a two-year construction project to ensure that the Charles D. Cameron Public Services Building (PSB) will withstand a major Cascadia Subduction Zone earthquake. Construction will start in early 2017 and is expected to continue through 2018. Some County services will be temporarily relocated during construction to nearby office space in downtown Hillsboro.

Washington County has been awarded $3.4 million in Continuum of Care Program grant funds, under the new Homeless Emergency Assistance and Rapid Transition to Housing (HEARTH) Act. Numerous safety enhancements have been implemented at Scoggins Valley Park through collaboration with SafeKids Washington County and other community partners. Free parking at Hagg Lake is being offered on Saturday May 23, 2015 to anyone who brings a US Coast Guard-approved personal floatation device on that day.
