School Bus Driver Arrested for Sexual Assault of a Minor

On Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at 10:30 a.m., detectives with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office Violent Crimes Unit arrested 36-year-old David L. Moore II of Beaverton for multiple sex crimes. 

Moore is an employee of The Beaverton School District as a bus driver for special needs children. The victim is known to Moore from outside his employment. No additional information about the victim will be released.

Detectives are concerned there may be more victims of Moore and are asking anyone with additional information to call the Sheriff’s Office at 503-846-2700.

Moore was lodged in the Washington County Jail on the charges below. Additional charges are anticipated as the investigation continues. 

• Rape in the first degree
• Sodomy in the first degree (four counts)
• Sex abuse in the third degree (two counts)
• Using a child in display of sexually explicit conduct
