County Invites Voters to Drop Off Ballots Early

Washington County elections officials are encouraging voters to drop ballots off as soon as possible for Tuesday’s general election so that all ballots are processed in a timely manner. The Elections Office will offer extra hours Saturday and two days of drive-through service this Monday and Tuesday.

General Election Ballots Should Be Dropped Off at Official Collection Sites by 8 p.m. Tuesday

 

Washington County elections officials are encouraging voters to drop ballots off as soon as possible for Tuesday's general election so that all ballots are processed in a timely manner. 

Appropriately signed and completed ballots should be dropped off at official collection sites in order to meet the election's 8 p.m. deadline on Tuesday, November 2.  

With only five days left in the state's vote-by-mail election period, Washington County has received roughly the same number of ballots as it has for recent gubernatorial general elections. Elections officials have received 93,422 ballots as of October 29, or about 35 percent of all registered voters in the county. About 34 percent of Washington County ballots were received at this same point in time in November 2006.

Extra Service at Elections Office  

In addition, Washington County Elections will offer extra hours on Saturday and two days of drive-through service on Monday and Tuesday. Voters should drop off completed ballots in their signed envelopes at the Washington County Elections Office at 3700 S.W. Murray Boulevard, Beaverton. The dates for these extra hours of service include:

  • Saturday October 30, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. – No drive-through service available.
  • Monday November 1, 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. – Drive-through service available.
  • Tuesday November 2, 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. – Drive-through service available.

24-hour Drop Off Sites

Voters may also drop off their completed ballots at several 24-hour drop-off sites, including:
