Saturday Hours & Traffic Changes to Help Voters Beat Election Deadline

Washington County elections officials are asking last-minute voters to drop off their ballots at official collection sites as soon as possible so that all ballots are processed in a timely manner.

With only a few days left in the state's vote-by-mail election period, Washington County has received 47,384 ballots, or about 16.7 percent of all registered voters in the county so far.

Saturday Hours to Help Meet Election Deadline
The deadline for voting is 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 20. To assist with the last-minute rush of voters, the County Elections Office at 3700 S.W. Murray Boulevard will be open this Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Voters with questions or concerns are welcome to call or visit during these Saturday hours.

Monday & Tuesday Drive-through Service
Elections officials will also provide drive-through ballot collection service at the County Elections Office. This drive-through service will be offered:

  • Monday, May 19, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Tuesday, May 20, from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Ballots will also be collected until 8 p.m. Tuesday at several official drop-off sites throughout the county. Official drop-off sites are listed on the county’s website at www.co.washington.or.us

Traffic Revision Planned for Tuesday Along Murray Boulevard
Beginning Tuesday morning, the middle turn lane will be closed along S.W. Murray Boulevard just south of Millikan Way. This traffic revision will enhance safety for drive-through ballot collection activity available only to north-bound motorists on Murray Boulevard. Voters approaching this drive-through service from other directions will need to be traveling in the right-most north-bound lane on Murray in order to drop off their ballots at the Elections Office at 3700 S.W. Murray Boulevard. No drive-through service will be provided in the K-Mart parking lot for this election.
