Election Traffic Pattern Changes

Traffic pattern changes go into effect today around some official ballot dropsites.

Beginning Monday, November 2, the middle turn lane on S.W. Murray Boulevard will be closed just south of S.W. Millikan Way in Beaverton. This traffic revision will enhance safety for drive-through ballot collection activity at Service Center East, 3700 SW Murray Blvd. Additionally, on Election Day, November 3, the right-most northbound lane on Murray near Service Center East will become a “Ballot-Drop Lane Only,” as needed. On November 3, the left lane on Hall Blvd. in Beaverton between S.W. 4th Avenue and S.W. 3rd Avenue will be a “Ballot Drop Lane Only” and all through-traffic will need to merge right. Last-minute voters are encouraged to look at our list of 21 official ballot dropsite locations in Washington County to consider all options for turning in their ballots. The list highlights the hours of operation for each dropsite and notes which locations are historically known for heavy-use and traffic congestion close to Election Day. Washington County elections officials are asking voters to use one of these official ballot dropsites as early as possible so all ballots can be processed in a timely manner. If you use a ballot dropsite early, and do not wait until Election Day, it is likely you will avoid encountering traffic back-up that often develops at many of the dropsites on the day of the election. Ballots will be collected at all official dropsites until the 8 p.m. deadline Tuesday, November 3, 2020.

The following five dropsites are at libraries, and they do NOT have 24-hour access. To check the specific hours of operation at each site for each day, visit this website: www.wccls.org/vote. All of these sites will remain open for access to the ballot box until 8 p.m. on Election Day, Nov. 3, 2020. At these locations you will have to leave your vehicle in order to access the ballot box, and please do not return ballots to “Book Return” boxes:
