Voters Urged to Drop Off Ballots Early

Washington County elections officials are encouraging voters to drop ballots off as soon as possible for the November 8 election so that all ballots are processed in a timely manner. The Elections Office will offer extra hours on Saturday and drive-through service on Tuesday.

Ballots Must Be Dropped Off at Official Collection Sites by 8 p.m. Tuesday, November 8

 

Washington County elections officials are encouraging voters to drop off their completed ballots in signed envelopes as soon as possible for the November 8 special primary election so that all ballots are processed in a timely manner.

Appropriately signed and completed ballots must be received before the election's 8 p.m. deadline on Tuesday, November 8. Official ballot drop sites are also available throughout the county up until this deadline.

With only five days left in the state's vote-by-mail election period, Washington County has received roughly 37,000 ballots, or about 16 percent of all registered voters in the county so far.

Voters' Pamphlet Available on Web and at Elections Office

Approximately 25 voters have reported that they did not receive a voters' pamphlet for the November 8 election appropriate to their political party affiliation. These voters reported receiving correct ballots for their party affiliation, however.

Extra Service at Elections Office

Washington County Elections will offer extra hours on Saturday and one day of drive-through service on Tuesday. Voters should drop off completed ballots in their signed envelopes at the Washington County Elections Office at 3700 S.W. Murray Boulevard, Beaverton. The dates for these extra hours of service include:

  • Saturday Nov. 5, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. – No drive-through service available.
  • Monday Nov. 7, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. – No drive-through service, normal hours of operation.
  • Tuesday Nov. 8, 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. – Drive-through service available.

24-hour Drop Off Sites

Voters may drop off their completed ballots at several 24-hour drop off sites, including:

  • Washington County Elections Office, 3700 S.W. Murray Boulevard, Beaverton (Look for the slot in the front lobby.)
  • Washington County Charles D. Cameron Public Services Building, 155 N. 1st Avenue, Hillsboro (Look for the drop box near the rear entrance of building.)
  • Banks Library, 111 Market Street, Banks
  • Cornelius City Hall, 1355 N. Barlow Street, Cornelius
  • Forest Grove, 2114 Pacific Avenue, Forest Grove
  • Hillsboro Library - Main Branch, 2850 N.E. Brookwood Parkway, Hillsboro
  • King City - City Hall, 15300 S.W. 116th Avenue, King City
  • North Plains City Hall, 31360 N.W. Commercial, North Plains
  • Sherwood City Hall, 22560 S.W. Pine Street, Sherwood
