Voters Urged to Drop Off Ballots Well Before 8 p.m.

Washington County elections officials are asking last-minute voters to drop off their ballots well before 8 p.m. Tuesday at official collection sites, including a site in the K-Mart parking lot near the County Elections building at the intersection of S.W. Tualatin Valley Highway (Highway 8) and S.W. Murray Boulevard in Beaverton. Commuters are asked to avoid the area if possible.

Traffic Changes on Murray Blvd. to Help with Last-Minute Voting

 

Washington County elections officials are asking last-minute voters to drop off their ballots at official collection sites, including a site in the K-Mart parking lot near the County Elections building at the intersection of S.W. Tualatin Valley Highway (Highway 8) and S.W. Murray Boulevard in Beaverton.  

Other travelers are advised to take alternative routes to avoid the vicinity of S.W. Murray and TV Highway throughout the ballot collection process. Traffic revisions are in place to ensure public safety.

Deadline 8 p.m.

The deadline for voting is 8 p.m. Tuesday, November 2. To assist with the last-minute rush of voters, county elections officials will also collect ballots submitted by the 8 p.m. deadline at several official drop-off sites throughout the county. Turnout So Far

Elections officials have received 132,880 ballots as of Monday night, or about 50 percent of all registered voters in the county. Elections officials expect to receive over 60,000 more ballots from Washington County voters by 8 p.m. Tuesday. Roughly 192,000 ballots are likely to be processed in Washington County for the 2010 general election.
