All county buildings will open on time today, Wednesday, February 21, following lighter than expected snowfall and overnight efforts to clear snow and ice from county parking lots and walkways. 

Although city, state and county crews have also worked throughout the night to clear major roadways, everyone is urged to use caution and allow for extra time during the morning commute or delay travel if possible due to icy conditions.

The public is asked to monitor the Washington County website or social media feeds to learn more about storm response. Updates about clearing snow and ice from the County road system can be found at http://www.wc-roads.com. For information regarding public library schedules county-wide, go to www.wccls.org/weather.
