May 2009 is Bike Month in Washington County
The League of American Bicyclists and Washington County Bicycle Transportation Committee have joined the Board of Commissioners to promote National Bike Month.
Some consider the bicycle the vehicle of the future. It has a competitive edge in urban transit because it is efficient, economical, healthy, ecological and fun. Too often overlooked and underrated, the bicycle is a simple and pleasure-inducing way to get healthier while saving the environment and reconnecting with our community in a positive way.
