A public forum has been scheduled in Washington County to discuss a regional approach to fund permanent supportive housing for chronically homeless individuals.

When:  Monday, February 10, 2020 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Where:  Beaverton City Library

12375 SW 5th Street, Beaverton OR 97005

Parking in library lot or City Park lot on SW Hall Blvd

Throughout 2019, the Here Together Coalition convened elected officials and housing and service providers throughout the region to identify a regional approach with a new funding stream to address houselessness through permanent supportive housing. As a result of Here Together’s work, Metro is considering referring a funding measure to the May ballot that would fund supportive services, such as housing vouchers and mental health and addiction services, across our region’s three counties.

The public is encouraged to join Washington County Chair Kathryn Harrington, Metro President Lynn Peterson, Metro Councilor Juan Carlos Gonzalez, Metro Councilor Craig Dirksen and Beaverton Mayor Denny Doyle, to learn about this proposal and provide feedback to help guide Metro’s decision-making process.

Spanish interpretation services will be provided, along with light refreshments.

RSVPs are very much appreciated at [email protected]
