Comment on three proposed alignments for the Basalt Creek Parkway Extension at an open house from 5-7 p.m. June 11 at Ibach Park, 10455 SW Ibach St.

The design consultant and County staff will be available to answer questions about the project. No formal presentation is planned; stop by any time during open house hours.

Basalt Creek Parkway is in the Basalt Creek Planning Area, an 850-acre area between the cities of Tualatin and Wilsonville identified for future development. It opened in 2017, connecting Tonquin and Grahams Ferry roads.

Basalt Creek Parkway, including the extension, will be a five-lane arterial with bicycle and pedestrian facilities, drainage and street lighting. The project includes a bridge across Tapman Creek and a new signalized intersection at Boones Ferry Road.

Construction is expected to begin in 2021 with completion anticipated in 2023.

Funding for this project is provided through federal grants with matching funds from Washington County.
