Learn about the proposed alignment for the Basalt Creek Parkway Extension, between Grahams Ferry and Boones Ferry roads, from 5-7 p.m. Oct. 23 at the Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue Training Center, 12400 SW Tonquin Road.

 

The open house will include information about how the historic Carlon School is impacted by the project.

 

The design consultant and County staff will answer questions about the project. No formal presentation is planned; stop by any time during open house hours.

 

Basalt Creek Parkway will be a five-lane arterial with bicycle and pedestrian facilities, drainage and street lighting. The project includes a bridge across Tapman Creek and a traffic signal at the Basalt Creek Parkway and Boones Ferry Road intersection.

 

Construction is expected to begin in 2021 with completion anticipated in 2023.

 

Funding for this project is provided through federal grants with matching funds from Washington County.
