Bridge replacement on Scotch Church Road starts Sept. 9

A portion of Scotch Church Road will close to all traffic, between Glencoe and Jackson School roads, starting 9 a.m. Sept. 9 for replacement of the timber bridge over McKay Creek.

A portion of Scotch Church Road will close to all traffic, between Glencoe and Jackson School roads, starting  9 a.m. Sept. 9 for replacement of the timber bridge over McKay Creek.

The detour route includes Jackson School, Evergreen and Glencoe roads. (See map) The road is expected to reopen to traffic in March. The entire project is expected to be completed September 2020.

The existing bridge is narrow and structurally deficient. The $4.3 million project is funded through the County’s Major Streets Transportation Improvement Program Phase 3e.
