Comment on the 170th Avenue and Florence Street pedestrian improvement projects through an online open house available through Dec. 20.

The Florence Street Pedestrian Improvement Project involves constructing a new sidewalk along one side of Florence Street, between 165th and 175th avenues. This $1.1 million project, funded by Gain Share, also includes lights along several intersections, along with ADA-compliant curb ramps.

The 170th Avenue at Florence Street Pedestrian Improvement Project involves a signalized pedestrian crossing at the intersection. Streetlights and push-button activated crosswalk signals will be installed at this intersection. ADA-compliant ramps will also be installed. The project, estimated at $542,000, is funded through House Bill 2017 and the Urban Road Maintenance District (URMD).
