Complete an online survey on Washington County’s Complete Street Design Update which is intended to make our roads safer and more comfortable for people of all ages and abilities.

The project will update the County’s Road Design and Construction Standards, other plan documents and decision-making processes to consider all users – vehicles, pedestrians, bicycles, wheelchairs and public transportation – in ways that reflect travel characteristics and local community aspirations.

The online open house asks for feedback on how well the proposed standards:

  • Meet community character
  • Address bicycle and pedestrian facilities
  • Achieve the design goals of balance, plan implementation and coordination

The Complete Streets Design Update online open house survey is available through Feb. 26. It has 21 brief questions about the proposed updates and participant demographics. Participants also have an opportunity to share additional thoughts not covered by the questions. The survey takes about 10 minutes to complete. Your opinions will help transportation staff develop the final updates to be presented to the Washington County Board of Commissioners for potential adoption later this year.

Washington County is committed to planning and protecting the uses of the land -- balancing care for the natural environment, economic development, safety and community livability.
