Cornelius Pass/Evergreen signal shutdown planned for 3 nights

PGE's contractor completed work last night. Traffic signal shutdowns scheduled for April 3 and 4 are no longer necessary. Remaining work will occur during daytime hours with lane restrictions as needed.

Original Release:
Nighttime traffic will be flagged through the intersection of Cornelius Pass Road and Evergreen Parkway from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. March 31, April 3, and April 4 for installation of underground powerlines.

Traffic will be down to one lane in each direction at the intersection. Bicyclists will have access along all travel lanes. Pedestrians will be detoured to available sidewalks or paths.  

The contractor will work as quickly as possible to minimize inconvenience. Travelers should expect long delays or use alternate routes.  

PGE is installing underground powerlines on Evergreen Parkway near the old railroad tracks as part of the Cornelius Pass Road (U.S. 26 to Cornell Road) improvement project. The project includes additional travel lanes, bike lanes, a multi-use path, sidewalks, and street lighting. The project is scheduled to be completed by Dec. 31.
