The public is invited to comment on improvements planned for Cornelius Pass Road at an open house from 5-7 p.m. June 21 at R. A. Brown Middle School, 1505 SE Cornelius Pass Road.

This project will widen Cornelius Pass Road, between Frances Street and TV Highway, to five lanes (two travel lanes in each direction and a center turn lane). A dedicated right-turn lane will be added from westbound TV Highway to northbound Cornelius Pass Road. Continuous bicycle lanes and sidewalks, street lighting, storm drainage upgrades and safety enhancements will also be included.

Washington County Department of Land Use & Transportation (LUT) is working collaboratively with Willamette Water Supply Program (WWSP) for the installation of a 48-inch drinking water pipeline in conjunction with road improvements. Cost is estimated at $17.1 million project, and is funded through the County's MSTIP Bonding Cost-sharing Program in partnership with the city of Hillsboro.

This project is in the design phase.  Construction is anticipated for 2020-2021.  Project dates are estimates and subject to change.
