Sponsored by: Department of Land Use and Transportation

Washington County's Department of Land Use and Transportation invites the community to an open house on Thursday February 23 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Community Room of Bethany Village, 15220 NW Laidlaw Road, to review and comment on recommendations addressing several outstanding North Bethany Subarea Plan 'placeholder' issues carried forward from last year's ordinance process.*

You will have an opportunity to review Ordinance 744, which addresses Road P-15 and P-16 alignments and housekeeping amendments. It will be considered by the Planning Commission on March 7, 2012.

You will also have an opportunity to provide input on other upcoming amendments proposed to address the following issues:

  • Planned Development standards, including density bonuses;
  • Cluster Housing;
  • Workforce Housing; and
  • Land Division standards for park lands.

You can also learn about opportunities to provide testimony or comments during the upcoming Public Hearings process.

For those who cannot attend the open house, information is available on the project web site: www.bethanyplan.org.

*At their December 6, 2011 work session, the Board of County Commissioners considered an Action Plan to complete the remaining 'placeholder' issues for the North Bethany Subarea Plan. At their February 7, 2012 work session, the Board authorized staff to consider a limited number of specific additional issues that have been identified since December. The December 6, 2011 Action Plan and February 7 amendments are also available at the project web site.
