Sponsored by: Department of Land Use and Transportation, Capital Project Services Division

Grahams Ferry Road will remain closed between Basalt Creek Parkway and Tonquin Loop through Nov. 30 due to further construction delays.

Unanticipated road conditions, in conjunction with wet weather and Willamette Water Supply Program pipeline-related work, has delayed striping of the road. Grahams Ferry Road will remain closed to traffic until striping and safety markings are installed.

All travelers are asked to use the signed detour on Day and Boones Ferry roads.

The Tonquin/Grahams Ferry intersection was raised 10 feet to improve site distance. Other improvements include:

  • Widening of Grahams Ferry Road to three lanes, one travel lane in each direction and a center turn lane.
  • Widening Tonquin Road to three lanes, including dedicated right and left-turn lanes onto Grahams Ferry Road.
  • Installation of a section of the Willamette Water Supply Program's 66-inch waterline.

This work is part of the 124th Avenue Extension project.
