A Meet the Contractor open house for the Jenkins Road project is 5-7 p.m. May 2 at Merlo Station High School, 1841 SW Merlo Drive .
The contractor and County staff will be available to answer questions about the final design and construction schedule. No formal presentation is planned; stop by any time during open house hours.
Jenkins Road will be widened to five lanes, two travel lanes in each direction with a center turn lane, between 158th Avenue and Murray Boulevard.
The project includes:
- Bridge replacement at Cedar Mill Creek, west of 153rd Avenue.
- Dedicated right turn lane from westbound Jenkins Road to northbound 158th Avenue.
- Bike lanes.
- Sidewalks.
Construction is expected to being in late May with completion expected by Dec. 31, 2020.
The $13 million project is funded through Washington County’s Major Streets Transportation Improvement Program (MSTIP).
