Meet the Contractor open house scheduled for Springville Road project

A Meet the Contractor open house for the Springville Road (185th to 178th avenues) project will be from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, July 26, at Portland Community College Rock Creek Campus, Building 9 Events Center, Section C, 17705 NW Springville Road .

The event, sponsored by Washington County Department of Land Use &Transportation (LUT), provides the public with a chance to meet the contractor, Wildish Construction Co. Representatives from Wildish, along with County staff, will be available to answer questions about the construction schedule and staging. No formal presentation is planned.

Both Springville Road and 185th Avenue will be widened to two lanes in each direction with center turn lanes. Springville will be widened between 185th and 178th avenues;185th will be widened from West Union Road to Springville Road. The project will also include a traffic signal at 185th and Springville, continuous bike lanes and sidewalks, street lighting, storm drainage upgrades and safety enhancements.

Construction began earlier this month, and is expected to be mostly complete in September 2018.
